Go to the Yaowang Mountain Observation Deck and take a group photo with the RMB 50 scenic spot. Then, you will drive to the Jokhang Temple, a Tibetan Buddhist temple built in 647 AD, which houses golden statues of Buddha Shakyamuni at the age of 12. City walk shuttles through the ancient path of turning scriptures on Barkhor Street, walking side by side with believers and appreciating the sentient beings and man's world.

D3

LHASA-MILA MOUNTAIN TUNNEL- DAKSUMTSO LAKE-NYINGCHI

After breakfast at the hotel, you will set out to visit Basongcuo, a national AAAAA-rated scenic area and forest park along the way. In Tibetan, its name means "green water," and it is revered as a sacred lake and an important holy site of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. The landscape here is a breathtaking tapestry of snow-capped peaks, tranquil lakes, lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and verdant pastures, all interwoven with ancient temples and cultural relics. Each season unveils a different face of beauty, while the abundant rare flora and fauna make it a true paradise on earth—earning it the poetic title of "Little Switzerland."

D4

NYINGCHI-SEJILA MOUNTAIN-LULANG FOREST-ALPINE PASTURE-THE WORLD CYPRESS KING PARK-NYINGCHI

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the tranquil town of Lulang, often celebrated as the "Jiangnan of the Plateau" for its unexpectedly lush and serene landscapes. Along the way, we will cross the Sejila Pass, towering at 4,728 meters, where—if the weather allows—you may be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Namcha Barwa, widely regarded as one of China's most magnificent peaks. Upon arriving at the Lulang Forest Sea, you will be greeted by an endless expanse of pristine woodland, rolling out like a vast green ocean. True to its name, which means "a place that makes you forget home," Lulang never fails to enchant every traveler who sets foot here. We will also visit the alpine meadow, a peaceful haven where yaks and cattle graze freely beneath the open sky—a scene that invites you to pause and savor a moment of untouched tranquility. On our way back, we will make a stop to admire the Giant Cypress, a majestic tree hailed as the "King of the World's Cypresses," with an estimated age of over 3,200 years—a living testament to the passage of time and the enduring beauty of nature.

D5

NYINGCHI-KADING GULLY-"PRINCESS WENCHENG" LIVE ACTION OPERA SHOW-LHASA

After breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a scenic drive along the legendary National Highway 318, a route renowned for its ever-changing and breathtaking vistas. Our destination is Kading Valley, where lush vegetation and towering ancient trees create a serene and tranquil atmosphere. Here, the 200-meter-high Kading Waterfall plunges dramatically down the cliff face, and those who look closely may even discern the naturally formed silhouette of a Buddha emerging from the rock behind the cascading water. Later, we will return to Lhasa via the picturesque Lhasa-Nyingchi Expressway, a road that weaves through some of the region's most beautiful countryside. In the evening, you will be treated to the "Princess Wenchong" evening performance, a grand historical drama that recounts the legendary marriage of Princess Wenchong of the Tang Dynasty to the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo more than 1,300 years ago. The performance is divided into five acts, lasts approximately 90 minutes, and features a cast of over 800 performers, bringing to life this timeless tale of peace and cultural exchange beneath the starry plateau sky.

  1. Correct treatment of altitude sickness: The oxygen content in Lhasa is only about 70% of that in the plain, and the atmospheric pressure is also relatively low. Upon arriving at the plateau, most people will experience varying degrees of chest tightness, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, and other symptoms of hypoxia. In severe cases, there may be symptoms such as headaches, muscle pain throughout the body, and insomnia. But this does not mean that you cannot adapt to high altitude. This reaction is very normal. The so-called high altitude reaction is the counteractive reaction our body makes due to the discomfort caused by such a pressure difference and lack of oxygen.
  2. When entering the plateau, one should not overeat or drink excessively to avoid increasing the burden on the digestive organs and enabling them to adapt well to this environment. It is best not to drink alcohol or smoke. Eat more vegetables, fruits and other substances rich in vitamins, drink more water to prevent dryness, especially lipstick and sunscreen used for sun-proof, which can effectively prevent water loss and increase the body's resistance.
  3. When arriving at the plateau for the first time, do not walk quickly, let alone run, and do not engage in physical labor. It is best to fully rest and rest for half a day, and to prevent colds caused by catching a cold. Commonly used drugs for preventing altitude sickness include Rhodiola, American ginseng, glucose, quick results heart-save pills.
  4. If you are not sure whether you can participate in travel activities in Tibet, it is recommended that you consult an experienced doctor and try to follow the principle of stability.
  5. According to the relevant regulations of the China National Tourism Administration, if a tourist fails to complete all tourism projects or leaves Tibet early due to their own reasons, it will be considered as automatically giving up the trip, and the group fee paid by the tourist will not be refunded. Any subsequent consequences shall be borne by the tourists themselves, and the travel agency shall not be held responsible.
